A young man is fatally stabbed, and reportedly beheaded, on a Greyhound bus in Manitoba, Canada. The mounties have taken a 40 year old man, believed to be from Manitoba, into custody in the slaying of a young man described to be in his teens to early 20s, on the bus.

Gawker Media is reporting a dead “monster” washing ashore in Montauk, New York. While it does bear some resemblance to a shelled turtle, the legs don’t seem quite right, at least to me. And what’s with the “bracelet” on the right forepaw? Was this creature tagged by someone… Plum Island researches perhaps?

Disgraced Alaskan Senator Ted “Series of Tubes” Stevens has been formally indicted, and faces serious jail time, for taking $250,000 in graft gifts from Big Oil and not reporting it.
The 84 year old Senator, the longest serving Republican in history, faces serious charges:

Vice President Dick “Dick” Cheney’s invitation to speak to the Disabled American Veterans convention in Las Vegas was rescinded when the group found his “security measures Draconian and unreasonable.”
His staff insisted the sick vets be sequestered for two hours before Cheney’s arrival and couldn’t leave until he’d finished talking, officials confirmed.

So moblogging with the iPhone is a pretty cool deal. I can see many of my idle hours at airports now filled with filling these pages.
The free WordPress iPhone app seems to work well. Who knows, it might even make me a better iPhone keyboard user.
